JANGAL – aghili/karlsson
Welcome to Jangal, an exhibition that is a forest. Here you’ll find huts, river nests, balance beams, and climbing sculptures—a place for play, imagination, and reflection. Inspired by children’s games and stories, the exhibition raises questions about nature, community, and our relationship with the world around us.
In Jangal, there’s room for everyone, regardless of language, citizenship, or social background. Welcome to the forest!
aghili/karlsson is an artist duo consisting of Nasim Aghili and Björn Karlsson, who have been working together for over 15 years. Through participatory art, they explore themes such as exile, marginalization, community, and the healing potential of art.
the council of forest – Nonhuman Nonsense
What happens when the forest’s various voices are allowed to have a say? The Council of Forest (Skogsrådet) is an interactive AI installation in which, among others, the reindeer, the lichen, the river, and the wind turbine are given a voice. The work explores the green transition in Sápmi and challenges the notion of humans as the obvious decision-makers. Whose voice carries the most weight when climate goals, ecosystems, and cultural rights intersect?
Nonhuman Nonsense is a research-driven art and design collective that explores the non-human—from animals and ecology to technology, objects, and the supernatural. The collective consists of Leo Fidjeland, Linnea Våglund, and Filips Staņislavskis, who are based in Amsterdam and Stockholm.
