Vernissage

MARCH 20 AT 5 PM

You are warmly invited to the opening of two new exhibitions on Friday, March 20, 2026! We are celebrating with a winning concept—an entire evening at Havremagasinet with Friday tacos, a guided tour of the exhibitions, including BODENSKOLAN TAR PLATS. After the tour, 2026’s INGVAR JIGRUD SCHOLARSHIP will be presented, followed by a concert! And of course, Havrebaren will be open during the evening!

TWO NEW EXHIBITIONS THIS SPRING

GLITCHES – By STUDENTS FROM VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN ARTISTIC WORK at SUNDERBY FOLK HIGH SCHOOL

An exhibition by students from the Vocational Training in Artistic Work program at Sunderby Folk High School, where different artistic expressions meet and stimulate the viewer’s senses. Fifteen upcoming artists present their unique works of art, created in a variety of media and brought together in this joint exhibition. The works interact and reinforce each other’s expressions, and aims to create a strong engaging experience for the visitor.

InventeRing av vad som känns (INVENTORY OF WHAT IS FELT) – BY STUDENTS AT SVEFI/HAPPIS ARTS & CRAFTs

Memories, monuments, spiritual magic, everyday magic, a sense of home, birds, ghosts, and video games.
An art school exhibition is a landscape of ideas, a playing field with pieces that are unique from one another, a diagram of a time that has passed and of things that have been felt and will be felt.
“Inventory of what is felt” is a play with the exhibition space and how it affects one’s experience of what one sees. In a scientific spirit, we transform the room into a map of ecstasy, doom, truth, and lies. In this landscape, the artworks become signposts, rebels, truth-tellers, jokers, or quiet commentators.
All in an underlying desire to express themselves. Like a bird on a branch in spring.

INGVAR JIGRUD – Scholarship Award

The Ingvar Jigrud Scholarship, worth SEK 10,000, is awarded every two years in memory of the artist Ingvar Jigrud, whose paintings are currently on display at Havremagasinet in the exhibition BODENSKOLAN TAR PLATS – i det offentliga och privata (BODENSKOLAN TAKES ITS PLACE – in the public and private spheres). The scholarship is awarded to a promising and/or established artist who is committed to developing art/culture in Norrbotten and Västerbotten. During the evening, the 2026 Ingvar Jigrud Scholarship will be awarded by Tommy and Raija Jigrud.
