On Horseback 2020!

During the anniversary summer of 2020, as we celebrate 10 years of showcasing art at Havremagasinet, we have chosen to recycle an exhibition from the first summer. On Horseback! A photography exhibition about the military’s use of horses during the time when Havremagasinet served as a feed depot for the army’s horses.

The exhibition sheds light on the era when the Boden garrison utilized horses as a means of transportation. This period left its mark on Boden, which remains Sweden’s most horse-dense city with an outstanding harness racing track and a multitude of riding horses.
