Do you live in Boden or nearby and want to take on a weaving project? Then you should apply for a long-term weaving project at VARP & TRÅD at Havremagasinet Art Space
What is VARP & TRÅD?
VARP & TRÅD is a new weaving and sewing studio opening at Havremagasinet Länskonsthall on February 6, 2026. Ida Isak Westerberg will serve as the facilitator and will be on site once a week throughout the year. The studio will include six looms, two of which can be booked for larger weaving projects.
DATES for weaving projects:
Period 1: February 23 – June 8
Period 2: August 17 – November 30
Period 1 & 2: You can apply for both periods if your project spans the entire year.
How to apply:
Send an email with a few images of your previous art projects, along with a short description of what you want to create during the requested project period. Also indicate which period(s) you are most interested in.
Havremagasinet provides material support up to SEK 5,000.
At the end of your weaving period, you will have the opportunity to present your work to other weaving enthusiasts.
Application period
Applications are accepted until January 18, 2026, and responses will be sent by week 7, 2026. Send your application and any questions to: caroline@havremagasinet.se

VARP & TRÅD Opening hours
VARP & TRÅD opens on February 6, 2026 and will be open during Havremagasinet’s office hours and weekends:
Mon: 9:00–16:30 | Tue–Wed: 9:00–19:00 | Thu–Fri: 9:00–16:30 | Sat–Sun: 11:00–16:00
Other hours can be arranged if needed.
Closed days 2026:
April 3–6 (Easter), May 1, May 14, June 1, June 19–21 (Midsummer), Oct 12, Dec 24–26 (Christmas), Dec 31 (New Year’s Eve).
