Boden Models
7 november 2015 – 3 january 2016
In the exhibition “Boden Models”, Bert Persson presents images from the early 1960s taken in his studio over a 3 year period. The idea was to use celebrities, but not many came to Boden, so local girls were used instead. Most of them were still in high school, but some met Persson at Folkets Park or around town.
During this time, Bert Persson was the only photographer in Norrbotten and one of the few in Sweden, who understood that it was more interesting to look at an object if there was also a person in the picture. The clients were local merchants and newspapers such as NSD and Kuriren. Bert Persson also traveled to other places in Norrbotten like Jokkmokk and Gällivare to do similar assignments.
More information can be found in the Folder (available only in Swedish).
