I AM MULTITUDES

I am Multitudes is a selection of films curated by Karolin Tampere and Torill Østby Haaland with works by Eva Bakkeslett, Iselin Linstad Hauge, Viktor Pedersen and Jenna Sutela. The films explore life in different forms and the relationship between humans and other beings. Everything from the livestock that we raise in the food industry and honey bees that pollinate plants to the microscopic bacteria that are in our diet and in us. In the films, existential questions about ethics and ecology are mixed but also questions about the collective where the distinction between individual and group seems meaningless. Life forms that give us an understanding of the intricate interplay and interdependence that make life possible but that we often ignore. I am diverse was produced for Nordnorskt Kultursenter in collaboration with Festspillene i Nord-Norge with support from Nordisk Kulturfond and Frame Contemporary Art Finland
