Ingvar Jigrud Scholarship

To apply for the Ingvar Jigrud Scholarship, you must have completed an education at Sunderby Folk High School and have roots in Norrbotten or Västerbotten regions in Sweden.

The scholarship is awarded every two years to a promising or established artist who contributes in a committed way to the development of art and culture in the Norrbotten and Västerbotten regions.

In your application, we would like to read about your artistic work and your plans for the further development of your work. Attach visual material and mention two references. Please don’t forget to send full contact details.

Havremagasinet Länskonsthall Boden and Sunderbyn Folk High School will select this year’s scholarship winner in consultation with Tommy and Raija Jigrud.

he scholarship in memory of Ingvar Jigrud is 10 000 SEK.
Tommy Jigrud will announce this year’s scholarship on the 6th of June.

The application for 2022 is now closed. The next scholarship will be awarded in 2024.

SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

Havremagasinet annually awards a scholarship to a selected school in Norrbotten that works across subjects with image and form.

The scholarship aims to stimulate, inspire and create opportunities for teachers and students in year eight to:

  • Work across subjects with image and form.
  • Strengthen relations between Havremagasinet and the region’s schools.

Participate in Havremagasinet summer exhibition in which pupils portray the year’s theme COMMUNITY  through any art form.

In 2020, Havremagasinet Länskonsthall has awarded Svarträvens School in Övertorneå a grant of SEK 10,000. Through this support, pupils in grade 8 had the opportunity to participate in Havremagasinet’s exhibition with the theme of LANGUAGE. 

In 2021 and 2022, there was no scholarship due to the Corona pandemic.

The letter of interest should include a note briefly describing your class, what you are interested in within this year’s theme “Community” and what you would look forward to doing in your exhibition at Havremagasinet. In addition, please include your name, email address, telephone number, and the name of your school.
